Wow! What an amazing experience it was to feed the homeless last night. The staff and the community were extremely appreciative and I met some wonderful people. The kitchen manager said the night was better because we were there helping. Everyone was very nice and it was awesome to represent the LDS Church. Thank you to everybody that participated! We will definitely have to do it again soon!

This last conference, I don't remember which talk, but it talked about how we need to help and look out for others. I've been struggling a lot with this concept recently. I've recently been struggling with codependency and how sometimes that can be because of religion. I was raised to always look out for someone that needs help and how to predict when they need help. How can I be a disciple of Christ and work on not being so codependent? Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?

This may be the most excited that I have been after conference this past weekend .. and you know what's amazing ?? Each one of us probably walked away with different motivations, different directions, different plan of actions-- because WE have an amazing God! But for me... I had an idea lingering for a while (the past year). and I convinced myself that it wasn't the right time, the price tag was too high, maybe I wasn't hearing it right and I even convinced myself to wait another year. But I can't shake it anymore-- especially with all the talks from the weekend. The talk of change, consistency, persistence - BECOMING (that one hit me) doing just 1% better and daily daily minutes with the Lord. So I did it last night.... I hit "pay". let go of my comfort zone and letting God prevail
